In Memorial of Jayme McRee
It is with heavy hearts that we share sad news that Jayme McRee passed away unexpectedly on January 23rd.
In his position as Senior Agency Director for Capital Counseling and Capital EAP, Jayme devoted his professional career towards helping to support others through difficult times. With his roots in the Capital District, Jayme graduated from Shenendehowa High School, earned his degree from the School of Business Management at Northeastern University, and held certifications in Suicide Intervention and Prevention, Crisis De-escalation and Mental Health First Aid.
Jayme was a longstanding member of CRHRA, SHRM, and the International Employee Assistant Professionals Association (EAPA). He was anticipated to present at the CRHRA Annual Conference, and his absence at this and future association events will be felt strongly. CRHRA extends its sincere condolences to Jayme's family and loved ones. Online condolences may be made at glenvillefuneralhome.com.

Legal Q & A:
By Robert F. Manfredo
Bond Schoeneck & King
Question: What are New York's meal period requirements?
Answer: The early part of a new year is a good time to review policies for compliance with New York's (seemingly ever-changing) employment law requirements. With new changes (like paid family leave) on the horizon, it is important not to lose sight of the basics - which can get employers in just as much trouble if they do not remain vigilant. One of those basics is New York's requirement to provide employees with uninterrupted meal periods.
CRHRA Strategic Sponsors:
Schyler Houck, Volunteer on the CRHRA Workforce Readiness Committee, was recently named as a part of SHRMs "30 Under 30" HR Professional. This month he also began a new position as Director of HR at Saratoga Casino Hotel. Congratulations on both of these accomplishments, Schyler!
